- If your child attends St. George’s International School:
There is a Speech & Language Therapist on staff. Talk with your child’s teacher to arrange referral.
- If your child speaks another language as well as English:
A list of independent Speech & Language Therapists can be found on the site of the Association Luxembourgeoise des Orthophonistes www.alo.lu. This is the Luxembourg Speech & Language Therapy Association.
Go to ‘Orthophonie’, then ‘Orthophonistes indépendants’. If you click on the name of the therapist, you will see the languages that she/he can use in therapy.
- Online Speech & Language Therapy:
Type a search term such as ‘online speech therapy’ into Google. Some Speech & Language Therapists specialise in online therapy, while other therapists who usually work face-to-face may also be able to offer online therapy.
- Assessment in Brussels:
A list of English speaking Speech & Language Therapists can be obtained by contacting the Community Help Service in Brussels www.chsbelgium.org.
After an initial assessment, the therapist may be able to offer consultation and therapy online with occasional visits to Brussels for a review.
